Hybrid cooling system
Universal Hydraulik GmbH synonymous with heat exchangers with fins.
This heat exchanger is a type of "hybrid cooling system", combining the advantages of plate heat exchangers with the benefits of shell & tube heat exchangers.
The design of this cooler can be as compact as a plate exchanger as it has a greatly enlarged heat exchange surface on the oil side. It also retains the advantages of the shell & tube heat exchanger on the water side, as the large, smooth pipes keep it almost entirely clean.
Further advantages include its greater compressive strength and the unique opportunity to build in an internal non-return valve.
The Fail Safe Heat Exchangers are produced now completly in our own production!
Universal Hydraulik GmbH is expanding the manufacturing capabilities to the Bare tube series (AM and CM), which form the basis of the fail safe heat exchanger, so a usual short delivery time is also guaranteed.
The EDH series has been extended
Universal Hydraulik GmbH extends the electrical heater (EDH-series).
Now the heating capacity ranges from 0,5 – 12 kW (till 60 kW is planned). The series 700 and bigger includes an adjustable thermostat (0 – 90°C) and an integrated temperature limiter (max. 100°C)
With the electrical heater-EDH, the oil flow is controlled and the heating power can be calculated with our design software (duration and pressure drops).

Universal Hydraulik GmbH offers special solutions of any kind, e.g. complete bypass-solutions for filtering and cooling the hydraulic system, based on the Oil-Air cooler series LKI (see picture). We are leading in the development of complete Cooling systems on a basis of long years of hydraulic experience and the existing hydraulic system workshop. We can guarantee a reasonable price/ performance ratio, by our own production (oil-water and oil-air coolers).
